LAST DAY Ultimate Reset Day 21
I DID IT!!!!! I can't believe I made it :) I am so proud of myself for completing this and I can't believe all that I learned from this process. I feel I know my body so much better, I love new foods and I am ready to change my entire diet. I did not do this to lose weight so I was not very disciplined in weighing and measuring because I did not want that to become the reason. My digestion was the number one reason and I feel GREAT!!! It was not easy but very fulfilling!!! Today I did not stick strictly to the diet because I really started running out of groceries. I am going to have to run to town Wednesday :( I did have a Shakeology this morning (I ran out of fruit), and for lunch I through a bunch of veggies in a salad with the awesome creamy garlic dressing (MY FAVORITE) and dinner was a quinoa veggie mix. Ultimate Reset Day 20
OH MY I CHEATED TODAY!!!! The day went well with fruit for breakfast and a quinoa veggie mix for lunch but then came the evening. I knew all along that I would not get through the night without a little cheating because we were headed to a football party. The Broncos were playing the Chiefs in primetime and my husbands aunt had invited us and some others over for dinner and the game. My plan was to eat a little early at home and then steal a bite or two at their house. Well my plan did not work. Before we left I had a sweet potato and a Shakeology but when I walked into their house the smell was amazing and my mouth started to water. She had brisket, twice baked potatoes, amazing rolls and a ton more including queso dip which is one of my favorites. Needless to say I had more then a bite of most of it. I did not feel great after dinner but I expected to feel worse then I did. I am going to get back on track for my last day of Reset tomorrow I promise :)

Ultimate Reset Day 19
With only two days left I cheated today :( We had a wonderful day at home. I made a huge breakfast for my family; whole wheat pancakes, fresh side and scrambled eggs. I made it through all of this with no cheating. I had an apple for breakfast. Then I had some bananas going bad so I made two loaves of healthy banana bread. I used applesauce instead of sugar and whole wheat flour. It really turned out great. I tried a crumb just to see if it tasted good and it did. Even though I wanted a piece of kept from taking one and had a wonderful lunch. I am starting to run low on some of the ingredients I need for some of these recipes and we live an hour from a grocery store so I have started making a few things up. For lunch I mixed quinoa and edamame and threw some red pepper and onion in some olive oil and then threw it all together and heated it up. I put a little aminos on it and it was DELICIOUS!!! Dinner came along and this is where I fell apart after a whole day of saying no. I was making soup for my family and it was with a lot of veggies and the only ingredient that I could not have was the tomato sauce. Instead of taking the time to make my own dinner I had a bowl of this soup. And then I gave in and had a small piece of the banana bread. I feel bad that I cheated this close to being done but it was a pretty small cheat. I still feel OK and have had an almost euphoric happiness today. I am very happy with the program :)

Ultimate Reset Day 18
Three days left ... today was great until dinner, I will get to that later ;) My mood was great again today and my cravings are gone. Tonight I almost snatched a chip or two but it was not as much of a craving as a habit I think. When I cook I snack so instead of having chips out I need to make sure I have fruit or veggies out so I grab instead. Also my energy has been great and my mind does seem more focused. However, I am glad to see the 21 days end more so for convenience. It is hard work and a lot of dedication to eat such planned meals everyday. For breakfast I had fruit again (I am pumped to get my Shakeology back), lunch was a delicious spinach salad that I also through avocado in and a sweet potato (my new love is sweet potatoes). Now dinner was an experiment, I made tempeh with some steamed veggies and quinoa. I had the smoked strips of tempeh earlier in the reset and loved them in the nori rolls and they were delicious however a whole block of baked tempeh was not great. I ate my entire dinner but I will not make that again. I am still drinking my water great and taking my supplements. Lets see what the day brings tomorrow, hopefully no more tempeh :)

Ultimate Reset Day 17
YEAH!!!! I finally feel normal again. I am not a negative, grumpy person in fact I am kind of an overly positive nice person so the last four or five days have been really rough. I was very happy when I woke up happy this morning. My energy and attitude have been great all day. I can not believe a bowl of fruit in the morning can keep me full until lunch but it does. Lunch was a cabbage salad with an asian tasting dressing. It was really good, I gave my daughter a bite and she liked it as well. Dinner was curry cauliflower and some quinoa with other veggies. It was good but I don't think I will have cauliflower for my main course again. It should stay a side dish! Through this entire process my bathroom breaks have not changed, even through the detox. I have had a lot of people ask me about the bathroom stuff so that is why I mentioned it :) I can not believe I only have 4 days left, let the countdown begin.

Ultimate Reset Day 16
Yep still IRRITABLE!!! I am really hoping it will be better tomorrow. My energy level has been good I have just been irritable. I have lost a few pounds and I have lost over an inch around my waist. Breakfast was a big bowl of fruit which is always delicious. Lunch was a salad again because I do bible study on Wednesday and that is what I have :) Dinner was awesome but I switched tonights menu with tomorrow nights. We have ballgames tomorrow night so I thought the cauliflower would be easier tomorrow. So tonight I had acorn squash, steamed veggies and some quinou. I love acorn squash but usually I have brown sugar and butter in it. Not tonight I put olive oil, aminos, lemon juice and himalayan salt in it and it was GREAT!!!! I drank water great today and took all my supplements on time. I am looking forward to eating the same thing as my family again. Cooking two meals a night can get old. However, they are going to get to try some of these recipes when I am done.

Ultimate Reset Day 15
If you see me walking down the hall you might just want to get out of my way. WoW, my mood is CRAZY right now!!! If you chose to do this program make sure you do not make any big decisions around week 3 :) As you can see my mood is an issue right now, I am also starting to really want bad foods. I REALLY want grease!!! I am still eating great foods. I had a big bowl of fruit for breakfast, a Greek salad for lunch. I have fallen in love with sweet potatoes!!! Dinner was garlic veggies, a sweet potato and I added some millet. Yes, millet, I like it!

Ultimate Reset Day 14
LAST DAY OF DETOX!!!! Tomorrow is my last week of Ultimate Reset. Today was tough again. My coach got back to me and explained that this detox is different and you don't run to the bathroom all the time. It is easy on your body and slowly cleans it out combining diet and supplements. Breakfast was a Shakeology because you can not have them in week 3 :( you are only allowed to have them for snacks. Therefore don't be surprised if I bring a blender to school. Lunch was a squash soup that was yummy and salad. Dinner I ate on the way to the ballgame it was a delicious corn and quinua succotash. I will make it again! I also had some cooked kale with it. On the way home from the ballgame I got my kids some fast food and the french fries again were extremely tempting. I ended up eating more of my dinner to avoid snatching a fry :) Also, I have to admit that I am grumpy again tonight. This better end of my husband will not be happy . . . .LOL!

Ultimate Reset Day 13
OK I am starting to be very grouchy by evening and I really don't have a reason to be. So I am warning everyone now, watch out :) My detox will end tomorrow and I have not experienced any more bathroom breaks than usual. In fact I messaged my coach tonight to see if that is normal. I like the taste of the detox packet that I have been drinking all week. It looks terrible (it is a nasty brown color) but it is sweet. Today was another crazy day because we had a lot of family get togethers. My nephew was dedicated at church and then we had a memorial service for my great aunt. Breakfast was a Shakeology as I ran running behind out the door this morning. Lunch was a salad I purchased at a restaurant with my dressing I made at home and brought. Dinner tonight was some acorn squash with a garlic sauce and steamed fresh green beans. I think I had more cravings in the last two days than I have had this entire program. Yesterday my kids ordered french fries at lunch and they looked absolutely delicious. It was all I could do to not snatch them off their plates. Today it was chocolate cake they served after the memorial service, oh it looked good. And then a lot of our family met at my moms house where they had pizza and lots of other munchies. IT WAS TORTURE!!!

Ultimate Reset Day 12
Today was challenging again because we were out and about shopping. It is hard to think of all the food you need in the day as well as all the supplements. My breakfast was Shakeology. Lunch was at Toby Keiths Bar and Grill after a morning of shopping. Thank goodness we had a very nice waitress because it was humorous when I ordered. I brought my own salad dressing and told her specifically what I could have on my salad. She did a great job and I think it was clean for the most part. Again supplements were a challenge, I drank my alkalizer while driving in rush hour :P When I got home I had to still prepare my dinner which tonight happened to be the night of recipes that took time. It was not ideal because I ate very late in the evening but I finally completed the roasted beets, some steamed spinach and millet (this is the first time I have ever ate millet). The interesting thing is that we are currently harvesting millet. My energy has been good still but I did get a little moody tonight. I don't know if it was the detox or just one of those days. Oh and for those of you who are still wondering, no explosions in the bathroom yet . . .LOL :)

Ultimate Reset Day 11
I AM OVER HALF WAY DONE WITH BEACHBODY'S ULTIMATE RESET!!! Each day gets easier and I am still loving the food I am eating. Breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit and a Shakeology. Lunch was the Quinou Lentil Salad which is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! I really love this recipe. I think if you would add some chicken my whole family would love it too. Dinner was interesting because we had a dinner party with the Holiday Fit Challenge Group. A good friend of mine owns a Savory Spice Store so she cooked wonderful clean food and used her amazing spices to give us ideas of how to use spices to change up our clean foods. The food all looked amazing but I picked only a few to try. I ate kale chips, asparagus and cashews, salad with a light dressing and another veggie mix. I think I did a good job eating foods that would work with this phase of the detox. My energy was still great today and I have not been tired at all. I did stay warmer today so maybe that will get better :) I am really enjoying this program, my muscles are becoming more defined, my cravings are really gone for junk food, I highly recommend it!!!

Ultimate Reset Day 10
Today started off a little rough. When I first woke up I did not feel well. The stomach flu is going around school so I was afraid I might have caught it. I am only telling you all this because I want people to be able to look at this when they are also going through this program and know what to expect. I hurried to the bathroom expecting the horror stories people tell about cleansing. Don't worry it was nothing like that at all. After this I felt better and felt good most of the day. At times I had a slightly upset stomach but nothing very bad at all and it was very sporadic. I am doing great not being too hungry in between meals and I am starting to crave healthy food like fruit instead of anything junky at all. For breakfast I had the same Shakeology. My dad took me to the local cafe for lunch and I ordered a veggie salad (lettuce, tomato, mushrooms, peppers, cucumbers, onions, avocado) then I brought my own dressing. It worked really well and did not feel like I was cheating at all. I was afraid I had not had enough calories so I ate my leftover soup for a afternoon snack. Dinner was delicious, Riley tried a bite and loved it as well. It was a Quinou Lentil Salad and steamed zucchini. I will for sure make this again for my whole family. My energy still stayed GREAT and I am still loving it :)

Ultimate Reset Day 9
Everything is still going good and tonight for some reason I had a ton of energy! I did attempt to do a T25 workout today with the modifier but even that was to much. It seemed like I had great strength but just not enough energy. I even got a little light headed a few times. Maybe I should listen to Beachbody and not workout :) For breakfast I had a DELICIOUS Shakeology that I had never tried before but I got the recipe out of my Ultimate Reset book. I used the Chocolate Vegan Shakeology with cherries and cinnamon and ice, it was very good. For lunch I had leftover pinto beans and rice from the night before and salad. Then for dinner I made the sweet potato roasted red pepper soup and it was really good. I am glad I made enough for lunch tomorrow. Today a couple times my stomach bothered me. I would not really call it a stomachache it was just some uneasiness a few times. But don't worry nothing explosive happened ha ha ha.

Ultimate Reset Day 8
Today was the first day of taking the Detox supplement and I have to admit I was afraid. I was visualizing running to the bathroom time after time . . .LOL, it was not like that at all. It really was a normal day in all aspects :) The Detox drink looks terrible and is brown but it does not taste to bad (it has a sweet taste). Today was a great eating day! I started breakfast with a big bowl of fruit, lunch was a salad with lots of veggies and the garlic cream dressing and dinner was pinto beans and rice and zucchini cashew soup. I am very upset because my starting measurements were deleted from my iPad (thank you to my oldest child). So all I can go off of is memory but I think I have lost over an inch from my waist. Now remember I am eating more calories (the mens portions) so I don't lose to much weight. Also I am the dork that does not own a scale and I ran out of time to go by a friends house to use hers so hopefully tomorrow I will be able to weigh myself. Still feeling great!!!!

Ultimate Reset Day 7, First Week Done
After one week what I am noticing the most is my cravings are getting so much better. Some of my favorite junk foods don't even sound appetizing now. I am still not any more tired than I ever have been and my bathroom breaks are the same as always. I am interested to see how this will change when I start the detox this week. The foods continue to taste good. Some I will continue to eat after the 21 days others taste fine but I doubt I will make them again. One thing I am noticing is that I have a hard time warming up which is an issue you may have. Tomorrow night I plan to do a video that comes with the detox that is some light exercise. I think it might help my circulation and might help me warm up. I took my measurements tonight but I am so sad that my ipad has deleted my original ones so I am on the hunt to find them. I will let you know when I do :) I am pumped for this next week and am ready!!!

Ultimate Reset Day 6
Today was AWESOME because I made a ton of food for the week :) With "Reset" it is important to have days for food preparation. Last week I tried to wing it and it made the week more difficult. Also, I forgot to post yesterday that I went grocery shopping for this week and my list was very small and I did not spend near what I did the first week. Today, I had a Shakeology for breakfast again, lunch was lentil salad and a salad with their garlic cream dressing (I made it today and it tasted delicious and I made enough for the whole week). I must admit that even after this is over I will continue to make these dressings. For dinner I had a root medley which consisted of carrots, onions, beets, and yams all mixed up with some olive oil and himilayian salt. It was REALLY good. I also had Zucchini Cashew soup which was just OK. I also went on a walk with my girls. I tried to run some but I must admit that my energy level was not to the point of running miles :) I did however work in the kitchen all day and I don't feel too tired tonight. I read that some people may have headaches or stomachaches in the first week or two but I have not had either. I am really excited to take my measurements tomorrow night and I will weigh Tuesday morning :)

Ultimate Reset Day 5
One more day down and there was a lot of temptation on this Saturday but I prevailed! My main reason for doing this reset is for digestion and energy. I am not in this to lose weight, I am happy with my current weight and do not want to lose major weight. I am eating the male portions because then I can keep my calorie intake up. However, that is easier said than done. When you are eating very clean there are not a lot of calories in food so you have to eat A LOT! Today I had a Shakeology for breakfast because I was running out the door. But I packed food today because I was going to be gone all day. We were at a volleyball tournament today so meals were not on schedule. We had lunch at 3:30. I kept up on my supplements good today and ate some of the food I packed. We ate out at Panera for lunch and I had a Greek Salad there and a bowl of soup. The salad seemed very clean to me but the soup was not. It was a small bowl so I ate it. Within about 20 minutes after eating it I had a stomachache. I am not sure but I think it was from the soup. My energy is still good today (I keep expecting to get tired but I am not yet). I was with my sister, her baby and my daughter today and they stopped at Starbucks this morning (I said no), we drove right by a Chick Fil A my favorite food ever (I said no) and then Sonic tonight (I said no again). So proud of myself today :)

Ultimate Reset Day 4
I am over half way done with my first week and I still feel great!!!! I thought by today I would start really feeling tired but I am not :) I was able to take a walk after school so that was nice but I am missing working out. Luckily this week has been so busy that it would have been hard to fit in exercise anyway. The food today was good. I had a Shakeology this morning and I was HUNGRY by noon. My lunch was lentil salad and microgreen salad. I liked lentils! I did not get hungry before dinner which was a nice change. Tonight I really stepped out on a limb and had nori rolls with tempeh and veggies. They were really good, I really liked tempeh (it tasted like bacon). The biggest challenge for me so far is still not snacking. Lots of people have asked if I am visiting the bathroom all the time since this is a cleanse but I am not. I visit it a lot because I am drinking a TON of water a day but I have not experienced any change with the other. The supplements are getting easier since I am remembering them. Tomorrow will be interesting because I have to pack my lunch for the volleyball tournament so I am going to have to be VERY PREPARED!!!

Ultimate Reset Day 3
Well today was Halloween which was a terrible day to be doing the Reset. I was short on time this morning so instead of making my breakfast I blended up a Shakeology (chocolate, strawberry and water). It was delicious, I have really missed having it the last few mornings. Instead of the lunch and dinner they had planned I had a Greek Salad again and the Bean and Rice Taco for dinner again. It was a crazy day with school parties, lots of costumes and trick or treating. I did have a slip up today at a friends house. I walked in and was handed an adult mixed drink. I gave in and did not put it down but that was the only mess up through the whole day which I did not think was to bad. I am tired tonight but I don't think it was because of the cleanse I think it was because of the CRAZY DAY!!! I am hoping to be back on track tomorrow :)

Ultimate Reset Day 2
Today was GREAT!!!! I started the day with yummy oatmeal with blueberries and walnuts. I got a little hungry during my morning snack time but nothing terrible. Then I had a greek salad with chicken for lunch and I am happy to say that it held me over until dinner. I was planning on an afternoon snack but I was busy at work and never grabbed it. Dinner was really good, it was a corn tortilla with brown rice, black beans, avocado and some salsa. I am going to fix it again for the whole family, I think everyone would like it. I did mess up tonight and I forgot to take my supplements before dinner. When I made my black beans and rice I made enough for tomorrow night also. Since it is Halloween I knew we would not be around for dinner so I will throw together a taco tomorrow night again. I still feel good with plenty of energy. I spent about 30 minutes right before bedtime putting my lunch together for tomorrow. I made lentils tonight, I have never ate them before so tomorrow will be a first :)

Ultimate Reset Day 1
It has started!!!! Today is the first day of my Ultimate Reset Challenge. I have to admit this is not going to be easy, not because of weird food and supplements but because I am so hooked to junk food. I loved all the foods I ate today. For breakfast I had eggs, toast and steamed spinach, yummy! For lunch I really stepped out of the box and had miso soup and an amazing salad. Did you know that miso soup is basically broth with seaweed? Well it is and I really did like it. I messed up this afternoon because I should have had a snack and I didn't :( It says in the program to try to not have a snack but if you need to it is OK to grab one (a clean one). I thought I would be a tough girl and instead I got a little hungry before dinner. I won't make that mistake again. Dinner was great, salmon, asparagus and potatoes. In fact I fed it to my entire family and they all enjoyed it. You will not starve in this program in fact I could not finish all of my breakfast or lunch. Also, I drank almost a gallon of water today so the bathroom was my friend ;) The last thing I wanted to talk about was the supplements. You must be organized and accountable for different supplements throughout the day. The only part of the day I did not like was the Alkalinize supplement. I am not going to sugar coat it, it was not very good :) but I can deal with it. My energy is normal tonight and I am not tired however I want to be doing a workout but I am not supposed to be :( Lets see what tomorrow brings . . . . .
Grocery Shopping Part 2
Yesterday I shopped for the food I will need in the first week of the Ultimate Reset. I was happily surprised that the regular grocery store (King Soopers) carried most of it. I had to go to Whole Foods for only about 10 items. Be sure you clean out your frig before you do because you will fill it with produce. I bought a TON of fresh fruits and veggies, some I have never tried. Forgive me but I have only ever had beets out of a can not fresh, this could be interesting. I think I spent about $50 just on produce and the rest was around $60. At Whole Foods I spent around $65. I think I will spend more money on this week then the others because I bought a lot of the seasonings and oils that I will now use through the whole program and then after. All together I was very pleased with my day of shopping and will keep you posted on what all I eat today :)

THE ULTIMATE RESET
I will be starting the Ultimate Reset by Beachbody on Tuesday so you can follow my journey on this blog. I am blogging as well as Facebooking because of friends that are not on Facebook. If you know of others who would enjoy seeing my progression through this detox let them know about my blog. I will be grocery shopping on Monday to get all of the food for my meals so I can be prepared for the week. Then hopefully Tuesday night I can prepare some of it ahead of time. Each week there is a list of the foods you can prepare ahead of time so that will be very helpful. Also there is a menu each day of what to eat and even snack on so you never have to wonder what you should eat. Wish me luck!!!
